Ricardo Martinez Delgado (New Creation) left his body on 26 July in Paris. He was 71. He will be remembered as a fine healer in kinesiology, joyfully serving the Spirit of Auroville.

Auroville Today: What was your childhood like, how did your own musical journey begin? Shalini: My journey with music began very young. Singing was always central to my life, but never through formal education.

Marry, also known as Marretje Kroon, passed away in Kalpana on 16th September, 2024. She was 76 years old. Marry was born in the Netherlands and joined Auroville in 2007.

Yuval (Govert Jan van den Eijk) left his body on August 25 at the age of 77, at the Mahalakshmi Home for the elderly, surrounded by members of his family.

Adopted from South Korea and raised in Denmark, she is a skilled and seasoned massage therapist whose global travels led her to Auroville, where she discovered a profound connection with its people and where she continues to explore diverse avenues of learning.

Long-term Aurovilian Goupi (Jean-Pierre Bunel) peacefully passed away at Marika’s Home in the evening of Monday, June 24th. He had just turned 82 years old.

Dr Bérengère, or Dr Be as she is known in Auroville, holds a French MBA in International Business. She then studied Ayurveda at the Gujarat Ayurved University in Jamnagar, India.

Rudy Phillips, who served as President of the Foundation for World Education for ten years, passed away from complications of colon cancer on November 26th.

On April 25th, Paulien of Vikas passed away in the Intensive Care Unit of the East Coast Hospital in the presence of her sister Mariette and her friend Betty.

On April 20th, Francoise Arati passed away in her home country, France, after an enduring battle with cancer. She was 66 years old. Françoise was an architect by profession and active in urban affairs for years in Mayotte, just off the coast of South East Africa.
