Community interaction

Jay Naidoo, former leader in the South African struggle against apartheid, and former minister responsible for Reconstruction and Development in the country’s first democratic government, where he worked closely with Nelson Mandela, recently visited Auroville.

The new L’Avenir team has announced they will be holding regular interactions with the community. On the first Monday of every month at 3 pm, people are invited to visit their office for exchanges and dialogue on everything to do with city planning.

The Auroville Council, in its first interactive meeting with the community, reported a huge workload consisting of 17 personal issues, 6 policy mandate issues and 4 immediate community issues.
