Selvi’s Pancha Bhuta

We just had a wonderful encounter!

Selvi, a little girl (played by Joy) took us with her in her dream in which she meets the Pancha Bhuta or Five Elements. Together with Selvi we had for an hour the chance to be four years old and we were able to catch Akash – the first and most elusive of the five elements: Ether. It was fairylike, refreshing, instructive, poetic, full of inventiveness and a rare beauty; and performed to perfection. I’m trying to hold back my enthusiasm, but, between ourselves, I found it quite extraordinary. So thank you Joy, Paulo, Ila, and all of the team who helped to realize this play. We won’t forget Selvi’s Pancha Bhuta soon.
