The Joy of Offering contains selections from Madanlal Himatsingka’s correspondence with The Mother. Madanlal, who passed away in 2004, was a great devotee of The Mother and one of her tireless fundraisers, in later years for Auroville, and in particular for the Matrimandir. His power for fundraising, said The Mother, was due to the link between him and Ganapati, the Indian god of material knowledge and wealth, represented with an elephant’s head. The correspondence provides an insight into Madanlal’s personal and business problems, and the ever-comforting replies and blessings of The Mother for the realization of his aspirations and spiritual growth.

Published on the occasion of Madanlal Himatsingka’s Centenary on July 16, 2016. Available from VAK bookshop in Pondicherry. Price in India Rs 200.
