Palani is the executive and product manager of Aureka, Auroville’s engineering company. Here he talks about his upbringing, his work, and his plans for the future.

Auroville’s grocery outlets have begun to be stocked with an all-new collection of hemp-based products. Hempseed oil, hemp flour, and hemp hearts have hit the shelves thanks to Hemplanet, an Auroville unit that aims to promote the use of a wide array of hemp derivatives and eventually begin hemp cultivation in Auroville.

The compilation “Chronicling Auroville: A selection of articles from Auroville Today 2006 – 2018” has just been published. 189 articles cover 19 different aspects, including history, environment, town planning, economy, the arts, humour, people, outreach and Auroville and the world.

Auroville’s Dustudio / BuildAur, in collaboration with three other organizations, has won a bid to facilitate the process of designing and building 250,000 ‘social’ houses in Gujarat.
