Deputy Secretary, Auroville Foundation

In the previous issue of Auroville Today we published the major considerations and decisions of the Governing Board as reported in the minutes of its 67th Governing Board meeting held in Auroville on 31 May 2024.

The Auroville Foundation has announced via a recruitment notification that there will be three new Deputy Secretaries, alongside a new Under Secretary, recruited to work in the AVFO.

On October 4th a delegation of diplomats from various nations visited Auroville. According to a press note, the delegation comprised figures in fields of diplomacy, global business and trade.

On 18th October, K.Swarnambika, Deputy Secretary / DIR, issued a final call to those Aurovilians who had not updated their entry in the ROR, warning them that if they did not come to the office within ten days to do so, “any application after that shall not be entertained”.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Ms. K. Swarnambika, IPS, as Deputy Secretary / Director of the Auroville Foundation. No information has been shared by the AVFO as to the nature of Ms Swarnambika’s new role.
