For many years, Auroviians and guests have suffered from Auroville’s dusty roads. This will now change. The Neyveli Lignite Corporation has made a donation to the value of Rs 1.1 crore from its Corporate Social Responsibility funds for making the access road in front of the Visitors’ Centre.

At the end of June, the Auroville Village Action Group (AVAG) received a 1 Crore grant from Motherson Sumi Systems Limited through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, for a project that aims to increase access to education for poor girls.

Each day in a different school in a rural, semi-tribal area of Gujarat, village children lined up for their first ever dental checkup. There were tears for a few, but in the end new smiles for all, thanks to a dedicated team of Aurovilians.
