A third way of development?

We are used to saying that Auroville does not fit neatly into any known category. But this doesn’t stop many of us having certain fixed ideas about how it should develop.

The relevance of urban design for Auroville

In February, the Pavilion of Tibetan Culture hosted a double exhibition: Bhavyo’s paintings of the icy peaks of the Himalayan Tosh valley were displayed in its main room, while a number of urban design studies of his twin sister Bhavya were hung around the courtyard.

A Call to the Future

Raag Yadava is an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law School, Bangalore. He was previously legal counsel for the Government of India for its investment trade disputes and currently serves as Director of the Uttarayana Faith Foundation

A 650-page study on Auroville’s organization, made by Professor Raag Yadava and his team, has been published. It is available on the Auroville website.
