Matthias Achenbach

The Auroville Foundation has 37 management trusts which together hold 600 units and activities. Palani, the executive of the accounting unit Omega, gives his views.

On January 30th, Matthias passed away in his room at Mahalakshmi Home, ending a year-long struggle with cancer metastases in his lungs and brain.

Kinisi celebrates its 1st anniversary. Kinisi is a unit under CSR, dedicated to bringing sustainable mobility to Auroville. Kinisi started officially on March 13, 2017, when it obtained a desk in a shared office at CSR (Center for Scientific Research) as well as a small workshop space downstairs.

Kailash, a youth community in the centre of Auroville which houses 14 teenagers between 16 and 21, celebrated 15 years of existence in September last year.
