In memoriam - Nick Klotz

Nick Klotz, an Australian newcomer, left his body on September 25th in the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences. He was recuperating from a fracture sustained in an accident in July, when he developed multi-organ failure. He was 63 years old.

Nick joined Auroville in March 2014. He was an accomplished networker and worked with the MediClown Academy, the Bamboo Research Centre, EcoFemme and Wellpaper. When the Sustainable Livelihood Institute was established he became member of its faculty, teaching marketing of village products and helping village women to package, label, brand and market their products, helping scores of women launch small-scale enterprises across Tamil Nadu.

Nick’s body was cremated at the Adventure Farewell Grounds on November 29th.
